Impact investment has been included in the Kishida administration’s “Grand Design and Action Plan for a New Capitalism” and is rapidly gaining momentum in Japan. Japan’s first generation impact VC, GLIN Impact Capital’s consulting team, will present the basic concept of “impact” and concrete examples of its implementation in two webinars.
In the first session, we will explain the definition and characteristics of impact investing, and compare it to “ESG investing,” as it is often confused with impact investing. In the second session, a representative from the KDDI Green Partners Fund, which GLIN has supported, will be invited to discuss the practice of impact investing.
