Ethan Rouen (Professor, Harvard Business School)
Ethan Rouen is an associate professor of business administration in the Accounting and Management Unit at Harvard Business School, where he teaches the elective course Reimagining Capitalism. From 2020 to 2022, he served as the faculty co-chair of the Impact-Weighted Accounts Project.
His research focuses on the measurement, disclosure, and management of human capital, with a particular interest in improving engagement of and outcomes for low-wage workers. He has been recognized by the American Accounting Association with the Competitive Manuscript Award, the Deloitte Foundation Wildman Medal, the Best Dissertation Award, and the Innovation in Accounting Research Award. His research has been published in The Journal of Financial Economics, The Accounting Review, Management Science, and The Review of Accounting Studies, among others. He serves on the Design Team of the Aspen Institute Economic Mobility Accelerator Program and appears frequently in national and international media outlets.
Takayuki Haruna(Managing Executive Officer, Co-Chief Investment Officer JAPAN POST INSURANCE Co.,Ltd.)
Takayuki joined Norinchukin Bank in 1991. Lead Japanese equity management, asset allocation planning and more in the Capital Market Division, Foreign Exchange Division, and Bond Investment Division. 
Joined Japan Alternative Securities Co., Ltd. (now Mitsubishi Corporation Alternative Investments Ltd.) in 2005. He served as Executive Managing Director(CIO), Executive Managing Director (COO) of the Investment Advisory Division, overseeing the Investment Advisory, Product, and Sales divisions. 
After joining Japan Post Insurance Co., Ltd. in 2016, he managed domestic and international credit investments and alternative investments as Executive Officer of the Investment Development Division. Since 2020, he has served as Executive Officer of the Investment Planning Division, overseeing asset allocation and sustainable investment planning. In April 2021, he assumed current position. As an executive officer responsible for the entire operational front of the Market Operations Division, Alternative Investments Division, and Credit Investments Division, he lead the enhancement and sophistication of asset management at Japan Post Insurance and promoted sustainable investment. 
He graduated from Ritsumeikan University, Faculty of Economics in 1991.
Haruka Mera(Founder and Chief Executive Officer READYFOR Co.,Ltd)
Haruka is a founder of READYFOR,inc. READYFOR is the first and biggest crowdfunding service ever in Japan, 
targeting every kind of entrepreneur including local and social. Through Readyfor, she aspires to realize a world where 
every individual achieves whatever he/she wants regardless of financial status. She was chosen as a member of Global Shapers 
from the World Economic Forum. She attended Davos Forum in 2012 as the youngest member from Japan.
 She holds a Master’s degree in media design from Keio University. She serves as a private sector member of 
the Cabinet Secretariat’s “New Capitalism Implementation Conference”. She also serves as the Representative 
Director of the Impact Startup Association, a general incorporated association.

Masato Nakamura(GLIN Impact Capital Partner)
Masato worked at Mitsubishi Corporation, developing new businesses in AI/IoT and exploring investments in high-growth startups. At Harvard Business School, he served as President of the Impact Investment Club and collaborated with the Acumen Fund. In 2020, he founded GLIN.
He leads Japanese and international committees in impact investing such as the following:

Philippe van der Beck (Professor, Harvard Business School)
Philippe van der Beck is an Assistant Professor in the Finance Unit at Harvard Business School. He teaches the Finance I course in the MBA required curriculum. Philippe’s research interests are in empirical asset pricing, sustainable finance, and structural estimation. His work has explored the impact of ESG flows on asset prices, the estimation of demand systems in asset pricing, as well as the interaction of retail traders and institutional investors. His research has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and the SEC. Prior to joining HBS, Philippe received a Ph.D. in Finance from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and the Swiss Finance Institute. He holds an M.Sc. in Finance from Imperial College Business School (UK) and a B.Sc. in Economics from the Ludwig Maximilians University (Germany). He also works as an academic consultant for Capital Fund Management (France).
Satoshi Ikeda (Chief Sustainable Finance Officer, Financial Services Agency)
Satoshi Ikeda has been the Chief Sustainable Finance Officer (CFSO) since March 2019, and
Deputy Commissioner for International Affairs since July 2023, at the Financial Services
Agency of Japan (JFSA).
In this role, he covers a wide range of issues concerning sustainable finance which include,
among other things, designing Japan’s own transition finance framework based upon
disclosures of transition plans and emissions data aligned with Taskforce on Climate Related
Disclosures (TCFD), International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and other international
standards.
He currently serves as Chair of the Working Group on Transition Plan of the Financial Stability
Board (FSB) and Co-chair of the Working Group on Transition Finance of the International
Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF). He also successfully co-led the Workstream on
Climate Disclosures of the FSB, the Workstream on ESG Data and Ratings of the International
Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), and the Working Group on Sustainability
Disclosure of the International Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF).
Hiromi Yamaoka (Chief International Finance Fellow, Tokyo Metropolitan Government)
Chief Advisor for International Finance in Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG). Board Director and Chief Sustainability Officer of Future Co. Attorney at Law in New York. He assumed various public duties including Director-General of Markets Dept. and Payment and Settlement System Dept. in the Bank of Japan, Alternate Executive Director in IMF and Member of BCBS. In TMG he serves as the chairperson of the Committee for the realization of the Tokyo Green Finance Market and the Selection Committee of Tokyo Financial Award. He graduated from the University of Tokyo (LL.B.) and the University of California at Berkeley (LL.M.)

After completing her master’s degree at the Graduate School of Public Policy at UTokyo, Yuki worked at SDG Partners as a ESG strategy consultant. At PwC Advisory, she experienced projects in M&A advisory, ESG strategy and value creation model, human rights due diligence for supply chains, and pre-M&A ESG due diligence. Yuki joined GLIN in 2023.

Robin Ely (Professor, Harvard Business School)
Robin Ely is the Diane Doerge Wilson Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.Her research on the relationship between race and gender in organizations, with a focus on leadership, identity, and organizational culture change, has been published in numerous awards and journals, and for practitioners in the Harvard Business Review. Her current research includes organizational culture change aimed at reducing inequality in the workplace, strategies for women leaders to overcome gender stereotypes, careers of HBS alumni, and the unconscious racial dynamics that contribute to persistent racial inequality in US organizations. She is the founding Faculty Chair of the HBS Race, Gender & Equity Initiative.
Saya Tomihara (Director, New Business Creation Promotion Office, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry)Sayaka joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2006. She was responsible for policies including foreign talent policy, industrial revitalization, renewable energy, economic cooperation and economic partnership negotiations with Asia, healthcare.She has held her current position since July 2023, overseeing startup policies. She graduated from the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the University of Tokyo (MPharm), and completed MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in the USA.
Miyo Yajima (Executive Officer, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings, Inc. Executive Officer, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, in charge of Well-being Promotion)
After joining Sumitomo Trust Bank (now Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank), Miyo worked as a foreign exchange dealer in the market business. She transitioned through roles such as financial institution sales and portfolio manager. At the age of 40, she was selected as the first female branch manager in the trust banking industry at the Konandai Branch. She has lead the launch of multiple new businesses, including new product development, starting the sale of investment trusts, and establishing the Customer Service Promotion Department. She also participated in the opening of the Futakotamagawa Branch shortly after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.She pursued her career while raising two children and caring for her parents and became the first female executive officer in the corporate business department in 2016. She holds her current position since 2021.

Masahiro worked at Mitsubishi Corporation where he engaged in business turnaround and gained overseas experience in Brazil. At Harvard Business School he deepened his knowledge in impact/ESG investment and worked at Anzu Partners and JAFCO, investing in startups and growth-stage firms. He founded GLIN in 2020.

Marie Oshioka(Chief Operating Officer HERALBONY Co., Ltd.)
Marie entered the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2009 and passed the bar examination in the same year. While in office, she was involved in the revision of civil law (contract law) and subsequently worked on business strategies at McKinsey & Company’s Japan office after studying abroad. 
Later, she served as head of business development, chief of the president’s office, and IR officer at Money Forward Co., Ltd., while promoting the company’s ESG and diversity activities.
 In the fall of 2023, she joined Herlabony Co., Ltd., attracted by its mission “Illuminate Uniqueness.”She holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a mother of one son.
Kohei Katada (CFO, Gojo & Company, Inc.)
Prior to joining Gojo, Kohei served as Senior Vice President of Finance at SmartNews, Inc., where he played a crucial role in raising $80 million in equity financing and oversaw financial control, accounting, recruiting, people operations, legal, and investor relations. As CFO of LIFENET INSURANCE COMPANY, he led its successful $100 million IPO in 2012 and established a joint venture in Korea. Kohei began his career at Morgan Stanley Japan in M&A advisory and later worked as an investment analyst at Och-Ziff Capital Management in Hong Kong. He holds a B.A. in Law from the University of Tokyo and was inspired by microfinance during an internship at PROSHIKA in Bangladesh.
Hiroki Maekawa (CFO/CAO, Axcelead, Inc.)
After graduating from university, Hiroki began his career as a securities analyst at a major life insurance company in the domestic stock investment division. After working for the company for about 16 years, he joined the management of the soon-to-be-listed Sosei Group (now called “Nexera Pharma”) in 2005. Since then, he has served as CFO of several listed and unlisted healthcare companies for about 19 years. He has extensive experience in fundraising, business management, IPOs, IR/PR, etc., mainly for companies in the start-up and growth stages. He is a member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan and a certified Small and Medium sized Enterprise Consultant.
Yusuke Mase (CFO, Asuene Inc.)
Before joining ASUENE, Yusuke was chief operating officer of WealthPark, a proptech startup. Prior to WealthPark, he worked for Mizuho Securities in the investment banking division, Carlyle Group in corporate buyout team, and Taiyo Pacific Partners, a Seattle-based hedge fund.
Yusuke holds an MBA from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Information Science degree and a Master of Industrial Engineering degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
Kazuma Yamauchi (CFO, TeraWatt Technology, Inc.)
Kazuma led the establishment of corporate structures and corporate governance in both the United States and Japan, as well as international fundraising efforts. 
He previously worked at foreign investment banks and foreign private equity funds in Tokyo and Hong Kong. As a serial entrepreneur and angel investor, he has experience in launching and exiting various businesses spanning Europe, the United States, Japan, and Asia. He actively supports internationally renowned artists and creators.
 Hobbies include shogi (Japanese chess) and juggling.

Rina Suzuki,(GLIN Impact Capital)
During her Bachelors’ at Aoyama Gakuin University, Rina engaged in product development and sales strategy with Mitsubishi Corporation through her studies. She became interested in sustainability and marketing, and has worked as a reporter for the TV Tokyo economic program, interviewing executives of Japanese companies. Also served as a moderator for METI events and as a member of the Impact Shift Executive Committee.After an internship at a VC firm, she joined GLIN as a new graduate in 2024.
